The Full Story
Hi there, my name is Andy and I'm a developer and programmer who's passionate about innovation and technology. I'm always striving to keep up with the latest developments and trends in my field, whether it's new software, writing code, data analysis, or manipulation. But when I need a break from all that data, I like to turn my attention to something more visually stunning and creative. That's where my love for virtual and augmented reality comes in. It's a hobby that I truly enjoy and devote a lot of my free time to.
I've always been a creative individual, and despite being born with dyslexia during a time when not much was known about such learning difficulties, I've never let it hold me back. It's funny how some things stay with you for a lifetime. It's only recently that I've begun to openly discuss my struggles in the industry that I work in. My journey began back in 1980 when I started secondary school, and I was immediately labeled as lazy, disruptive, and a slow learner. Unfortunately, I was also subjected to physical abuse from teachers, and one particularly cruel teacher even took pleasure in telling my abusive father how "naughty" I was so that he could further harm me. College wasn't an option for me, both academically and financially, but that didn't deter me from pursuing my passion for technology and finding new ways to express myself.
One of my passions is creating art through artificial intelligence. It's a unique and essential form of self-expression for me, and I believe that AI-generated art offers the creative community new opportunities and tools to produce masterpieces that were once impossible using traditional methods. The possibilities for exploration and creativity are boundless, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this innovative movement.

On a side note, you may have noticed the three-legged table in the image above. I deliberately included it to showcase the beauty in imperfection. To me, this piece represents the simplicity of an office space, taking into account factors such as shadow casting, sunlight, gravity, and more. It's not perfect, but then again, neither am I.
While there's a lot of controversy around AI, I don't want to take sides in the debate. From my perspective, as someone over 50 who has witnessed many technical innovations, I've only seen technology improve our skills and knowledge. Just a few years ago, people were hesitant to use word processors or thought computers could never create music with human emotion. But now, computers are simply machines that are fed information by humans. If we can explain it, then we can teach it to a person or machine.
Although AI is far from perfect, it has given me a new set of tools to support my learning difficulties and enhance my technical expertise. Most importantly, it has helped me feel more confident expressing my opinions and creativity. When something can level the playing field for others, I believe it's a good thing.
Aside from my love for technology and AI-generated art, I'm also an avid cat lover. This is a relatively new development in my life, as I discovered this love for cats when we found a young stray living in our garden. I think cats are often misunderstood and that we, as humans, could do a better job of understanding them. By the way, cats feel love and get cold too!
Lastly, I wanted to mention my dear cat Neo, who passed away after battling cancer for 18 months. He was such an important part of my life and my heart. If you come across a cat in my art, it's my little tribute to him.
I plan on adding more to this in the future, and I look forward to sharing more about my journey with you as time goes on. Fell free to contact me with your thoughts
